So, I’ve breaking down some key NHL betting trends to look for on the Saturday return slate. I’ve compiled a bunch of player and team trends with help from Outlier, as well as an NHL pick below for February 22nd:

- Vancouver’s Brock Boeser has gone OVER 1.5 shots in five of the last six road games (O1.5 SOG, -175 at FanDuel)
- Washington’s Dylan Strome has a point in six-straight games (O0.5 points, -106 at BetMGM)

- New Jersey’s Timo Meier has gone UNDER 2.5 shots in nine-straight home games (U2.5 shots, -120 at BetMGM)
- Washington’s John Carlson has OVER 0.5 points in six-straight games (O0.5 points, -105 at BetMGM)
- Dallas’ Roope Hintz hasn’t scored in eight-straight road games (UNDER 0.5 goals, -381 at BetMGM)

Taking the above trends alongside some more in-depth handicapping, here is a pick I’m focused on for Saturday’s NHL games:
Owen Power OVER 1.5 shots on goal (-150 at BetMGM)
Owen Power is on a heater, going OVER 1.5 shots in each of his last three games and six-straight games against bottom-10 defenses.
Power faces a Rangers defense that has been shockingly bad at suppressing shots this season. They’ve allowed the fourth-most shots per game this season (30.35), behind just the Ducks, Sharks, and Blackhawks — that’s bad company. The Rangers’ top defender, Adam Fox, is also returning from a lengthy 4 Nations run with USA. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play much, or at all. So, that D could be even worse than usual
