March 10th NHL Picks
Taking the above trends alongside some more in-depth handicapping, here are two picks I’m focused on for tonight’s NHL games:
Leafs’ Mitch Marner UNDER 1.5 points (-240 at BetMGM)
Mitch Marner is on a weird run. He has 12 points in his last 14 games, but only three multi-poinnt games in that stretch. He’s gone U1.5 points in eight of his last 10 and 11 of his last 14.
Tonight, Marner faces a Utah team that’s been pretty good at suppressing goals. They’ve allowed just 2.94 goals per game (13th-fewest in the NHL). In the last six games, they’ve allowed just 12 total goals. Utah is also particularly great at shutting down right wingers like Marner, allowing the seventh-fewest goals to the position.

Blackhawks’ Ryan Donato OVER 0.5 Points (+110 at BetMGM)
Ryan Donato is on a crazy hot streak. The Blackhawks center has tallied a point in eight-straight games with 11 points in this stretch. Since Jan. 1, Donato has 27 points in 26 games.
Tonight, he faces an Avalanche team that’s allowed 2.8 goals per game in the last six. If there’s a position that the Avs are exposed to, it’s opposing centers. Colorado has allowed 0.75 goals per game to centers, the seventh-most in the NHL.
