NBA Player Props Today: April 22, 2025
The NBA has three playoff Game 2s on its schedule for Tuesday night, including the Memphis Grizzlies seeking redemption on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder while the Minnesota Timberwolves look to go up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena. We’ve assembled a slew of expert player prop picks to accentuate the action for bettors of the sport.
Here are four player props to consider, including a 3-pointers made prop for Thunder guard Luguentz Dort at plus money (+130) on April 22.

Luguentz Dort OVER 2.5 Made 3-Pointers vs. Grizzlies (+130 at FanDuel)
Game Preview: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 7:30 p.m. ET
No one on the Thunder exceeded 27 minutes of playing time in Game 1 on Sunday, as it wasn’t necessary with the final result was all but decided at halftime with Oklahoma City up 68-36. It was less of a competitive contest and more of a thorough beatdown on multiple fronts, so realistically, there’s little to be gathered from the numbers of most players who saw the floor.
There was one particular stat which caught my attention, though, and that was Dort attempting all eight of his shots from behind the arc and connecting on four in just 22 minutes. He nearly buried as many triples as the entire Grizzlies roster (six), tying teammate Aaron Wiggins for the overall lead. It also marked the eighth time in his last nine appearances for the Thunder that the Montreal native finished with three or more 3-pointers in a game.
The Grizzlies ranked in the bottom-third of the Association in opponent’s 3-pointers made (14.9, 23rd), attempted (39.2, 24th), and efficiency (37.9 percent, 26th) coming back from the All-Star break, and those issues carried over into the opener of this series. Dort will capitalize frequently, especially at the Paycom center where he averaged 2.9 outside makes at a 44.6-percent clip in 2024-25.
Zach Edey OVER 11.5 Rebounds vs. Thunder (+108 at FanDuel)
Game Preview: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 7:30 p.m. ET
The Zach Edey rebounds bandwagon is picking up steam, although it was knocked off course ever so slightly in Game 1 when the rookie center finished with just nine in just 20 minutes of playing time. It marked only the second time since former head coach Taylor Jenkins was relieved of his duties that Edey registered single-digit boards, although it was also the fewest minutes he had played during that stretch, as well.
No other Memphis starter finished with more than three, and with Oklahoma City’s frontcourt of Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein combining for 18 as the Grizzlies got outrebounded by 11 on the glass as a team, Edey will need to stay on the hardwood for as long as possible out of pure necessity.
Take those pair of nine-rebound lines out of the equation, and Edey has gone OVER 11.5 rebounds in every other game under new coach Tuomas lisalo. If he had played just a handful more minutes in Game 1, he probably would have gone over this number set by oddsmakers for Tuesday over the weekend too.
Naz Reid OVER 17.5 Points + Rebounds vs. Lakers (-112 at FanDuel)
Game Preview: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10 p.m. ET
We wagered on a near identical Naz Reid combination prop in Game 1 of 16.5 points and rebounds at -122. Not only did he easily clear that mark, but he did so in the first half alone, finishing up with 23 points and five rebounds on the day. The logic behind the bet was that the Lakers would likely try and go small to play Timberwolves center and 7-footer Rudy Gobert off the court as much as possible, and if that were the case, Reid would be the beneficiary of some extended run.
Gobert only tallied 24 minutes with two points and six rebounds, although he was a beast defensively when he did play. Reid, meanwhile, saw 31 minutes off the bench to play just as much as some of the starters, and that’s a good sign moving forward in this series as he only toppled 30 minutes 23 times out of a possible 80 appearances throughout the campaign.
The fact that oddsmakers only went one higher for this prop after he totalled 28 in Game 1 should be a gift to bettors. Reid’s role will only continue to expand after he finished with the second-most points on the third-most attempts on Saturday.
Rui Hachimura OVER 1.5 Made 3-Pointers vs. Timberwolves (-150 at FanDuel)
Game Preview: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10 p.m. ET
Of the 95 points Los Angeles finished with in Game 1, 72 of them came from the combination of LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Austin Reaves. Of those remaining 23 points, nine came from fellow starter Rui Hachimura, all of which were from 3-point range.
The Lakers’ lack of options beyond their “Big Three” is quite alarming, and that was ever so apparent on Saturday. Hachimura is the No. 4 option by default, and someone who’s capable of putting up points when required, and if there was ever a time to step up to the mark to deliver on that front, it’s against a dominant Minnesota defense which could put this series on ice with a victory Tuesday.
Hachimura converted three triples on seven tries during Los Angeles’ 117-95 defeat, and has now gone OVER 1.5 3-pointers in six of his last eight games. The Timberwolves will happily force anyone other than the aforementioned three names to try and beat them, and that could create further opportunities for this prop to hit.
