Premier League tips: A 9/1 acca for Saturday’s fixtures
Joe Champion’s best bets for Saturday’s Premier League matches include
After last week’s FA Cup fourth round, the Premier League is back with seven matches taking place as part of Gameweek 25 this Saturday.
Title-chasing Arsenal head to Leicester in the early kick-off, Manchester City’s clash with Newcastle is the pick of the 15:00 action and Crystal Palace round-off the Saturday coupon when they host Everton at Selhurst Park in the 17:30 contest.
We have picked out our four best bets for Saturday’s Premier League action, which can be combined in a four-fold which pays over 9/1 in the football betting.
Saturday Premier League tips
Newcastle to win or draw v Manchester City 35/40
Aston Villa to win & over 2.5 goals v Ipswich 19/20
West Ham v Brentford: Both teams to score 1/2
Crystal Palace to beat Everton 35/40
Manchester City v Newcastle (15:00)
Manchester City suffered another setback in midweek as they let a 2-1 lead slip against Real Madrid, losing 3-2 thanks to a last-gasp Jude Bellingham strike, and things are unlikely to get easier for Pep Guardiola’s team when Newcastle come to the Etihad.
A 5-1 loss at Arsenal aside, City have shown improved Premier League form of late, but they look on the short side against a confident Newcastle team who have won six straight matches on their travels.
The Magpies held the Citizens to a 1-1 draw at St James’ Park in September and can earn at least a point against opposition who will have one eye on next week’s return fixture in Madrid.
Aston Villa v Ipswich (15:00)
Aston Villa still harbour hopes of a top-four finish and can continue their charge with an entertaining home win over struggling Ipswich.
The hosts have won seven of their last nine matches at Villa Park and their busy January recruitment has helped to reinforce an already potent attack.
However, Unai Emery’s men have kept just two clean sheets since the start of December and backing a home win and over 2.5 goals adds juice to the price.
West Ham v Brentford (15:00)
There should be plenty of goalmouth action at the London Stadium, where an inconsistent West Ham side host a Brentford team who are among the Premier League’s highest scorers.
Both teams have found the net in four of the Hammers’ five games under Graham Potter, a run which includes a 3-2 home victory over Fulham, while the Bees have notched seven goals in winning their last two road fixtures.
Crystal Palace v Everton (15:00)
Everton earned an emotionally charged point in the final Goodison Park Merseyside derby in midweek, but David Moyes’s men could find it difficult to raise their level again for this trip to Crystal Palace.
While the Eagles lost out to Brentford in their most recent Selhurst Park outing, they’ve won five of their last six matches in all competitions, with Premier League victories coming over Leicester, West Ham and Manchester United.
